There is not much news except that INcinerate will be facing off against Zileas in the Semi-Finals of the SC Brood Wars Beta Tournament. I am predicting Zileas in 3. One time the news were under SUNDAY, but it's suppose to be MONDAY the got the day wrong but the date right... Jeez, but the most common problem is that it's not making a new date for us.... Well since we have all these stuff of the week, why don't we have a link of the week? Most SC sites doesn't give out a link weekly, so I guess this idea is pretty cool...and this will make us one of the few sites with this feature! My idea of a link of the week is that the links doesn't necessarily have to be a Starcraft Site, it could be ANY site! The site just has to be cool! But a game site (General, RTS, Quake, Tiberian Sun, ETC) would most likely be up on our link of the week. But it doesn't mean we can't have a joke page or something... Anyways, I'm going to post up a link every week for your enjoyment! Starting next week on either Tues. or Wed. Just watch for my postings and you'll see the site I've picked! I'm just here to tell you about this thing.... What is it? Well it's the puzzle of the week thing we have.... I guess nobody paid much attention to that thing because it's in the miscellaneous section... So I was thinking of putting it on the front page with all the other weekly stuff... The puzzle of the week is very interesting and I think you should all try it out! It makes you think a bit, but it's a lot of fun to figure it out!... So all I'm trying to say is that I'm going to put on the front page so people will notice it (You will see a change in the front page in a few days) and that you should check it out! Yeesh, all these patches! Blizz has gone and patched Brood War again, raising it to version 1.05. I guess they did this for the Starcraft beta, but this is kinda getting outta hand. It's all in good favor I suppose... Anyways, below is what's in the patch, sent by Blizzard:

SC Tourney - Agelmar @ 8:10 PM
For all of you who prefer an old style "KV" tourney, i am going to run a SC Tourney at a date TBA. It will use a custom map (probably 192x192) and will be 1x1. However, there will be a 3rd player who is to be an official observer, which will most likely be either myself or Koreldar. He will have observers all over the map. The tourney will start at 4PM PST (7 EST) on a Friday and will continute and probably end early Saturday. I will be posting a signup form soon. SD's tourney will still be held, (probably), but at his last tourney only 2 people showed up, myself included. If you prefer a straightforward tourney, no stupid plot, no "over 3 months" bull, then sign up for the SC Millennium Old Style© Tourney. No offense meant to SpaceDominator, but people dont like tourneys that try to lamely incorporate a theme and are spaced over 3 months. People want a right here right now WYSIWYG tourney.

Aah.... The wheel of time turns and ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the age that gave it birth comes again. In one age, called the Diablo age by some, an age long gone, an age yet to come, a society arose. Everyone was nice, people actually joined REAL channels instead of hanging out in Diablo Retail USA-1, and people actually talked in those channels. And the tourneys, aah the tourneys.... they were like nothing else. They started at 4PM Pacific time, 7 Eastern on a Friday and went on until Sunday. Non-stop. People would play eachother, someone would observe, the winner would be recorded, a new pair would be matched up, and then a new game would start. There was no 3 month tournament, no on your honor system, these were real torunaments, the best of them being run by Knights Valorous (KV). Now we have people trying to incorporate themes into tourneys, stretching them over a period of three months, and adding an honor system. The times have changed, and for the worst. I am working with the members of Knights Valorous to try and organize a Diablo tourney for old time's sake. I will post more information later on when it becomes available. Opposing viewpoints are welcome. Email them to me and the will probably get posted.

O.K, everyone the NCAA Basketball Tournament will start very soon, I'll get the Official Page, up very soon. So expect that up today. Now, here's how I plan on handling games, due to the fact that it is running for 3 Months, I will be leaving it up to the honor system, of you guys sending in the Victory Screenshots. That will be to varify that you have played a game. Do that for as many games, as you play, send them in sets, do whatever, just send Screenshots. SC Millennium College Basketball Starcraft Tournament - SpaceDominator @ 10:12 PM
I am a Person that has been a fan of College Football and College Basketball, so I thought maybe I could run a Starcraft Tournament with the College Basketball Theme, and I think I've come up with an idea. To Do This Idea however I will need about 120 People, willing to try an idea full of curiousity.
It would be sort of like the PGL, except with a WHOLE different theme behind it. There would be 120 People, who play Starcraft Games, against each others, whenever they can find time, for about 3 Months until March, when the real NCAA Tournament Comes Out, and then the Top 64 People, will make a Single-Elimination Tournament like In College Basketball. There would be AUTOMATIC bids, by having the people that win their Divisional Tournament or whatever. I want to get this idea going as Quick as I can, so I need 120 of you guys to sign up for this idea. Easier said then done, huh? Well, Here's my Little idea to try to influence you to come into this tournament, the first 9 People to sign up will gain control of one of the remaining conferences, which means they will get to choose any events that occur within their section of the Tournament. All matches during the Starcraft™: Brood War™ Beta Championship will follow a head-to-head, single elimination format. Welp, looks like Blizzard is going to patch Brood War one more time (hopefully the last). Here are the predicted changes:

• Zerg Hatchery price back down to 350.
• Zerg Hatchery build time increased.
• Zerg's larva respawn time increased.
• Scout's and Wraith's ground firing rate increased again.
• Starport and Stargate's costs are decreased.
• Lurker cost went down.
• Sunken Colony's damage is explosive now.
• Increased range on Broodling and some Dark Archon spells.
• Air-to-air damage for Scouts has been increased.

Wow! I just got out of this 4v4 computers game, and it stunk! I was Zerg, and there were two protoss and a terran. I had to save the terran's but 7 times, and he didnt even do anything! The other guy was even worse! He was a protoss and did nothing the whole game but build 30 photon cannons in his base! Not even a zealot! He drove me nuts! The other protoss guy got 8 carriers, but while attacking he got dropped :-(. There were three comps left and i had to take em all by myself. The other two had NO ARMY AT ALL!!! They were trying to mooch off of my and the other guy's win. I did not feel that that was at all right, so i killed both of them and won the game. If you join a game, you dont just build a bunch of building defense and mooch off of the other people's win, you participate and help win. Otherwise, I'll be out to get you like a rabid bunny. =) But seriously, if you join a game... PARTICIPATE!

The Starcraft PGL Season 3 championship is this weekend, and Starcraft fans are invited to see the event live. If you guys haven't noticed, a big web-site hosting service, XOOM, is apparently having some big problems. I've tried visiting various sites and I get an error telling me that they are changing servers but they would be back up soon. But I've been getting that same error for about 2 days. I created an example page to show you the problems. You can see it here. This is somewhat effecting the starcraft community as many sites are hosted by xoom.

Shlonglor made a post on the b.net forums stating why Blizzard made such huge downgrades on the Wraith's and the Scout's ground attacks. You can check out the post here and can look at all the responses (and flames) to go with it. I personally agree with this because I have seen alot of "all Wraith and Scout" players, and it's almost unstoppable.

BW 1.03 Patch(Opinions from a Non-Beta Tester) - SpaceDominator @ 10:39 PM
Patch 1.03 Was released for the Starcraft Brood Wars Beta Testers, and I thought I would give my own personal opinions, even though I am a non-beta tester, I have knowledge from the original Beta.

• Devourer movement speed was increased.
  Well, I think this is a positive change, for the Zerg though it does make the Devourer a little more dominating.
  
• Devourer damage was reduced by 10, to 15.
  What's the real point to a Devourer now, they only do 15 damage, though they do Ensnare everything, which does make them valuable. I say increase this to 20.
  
• Sunken Colony attack rate was greatly increased.
  Very Wise!
  
• Sunken Colony damage was reduced by 5, to 35.
  Makes sense, reduce the damage, increase the attack rate.
  
• Medic's healing ability was greatly improved.
  Good. Can't wait to get my hands on em.
  
• Yamato damage was increased by 10, to 260.
  260! Well.. Not much more dominating, but still a positive change.
  
• Maelstrom spell effect duration was increased by 5 seconds, to 15 seconds at normal speed.
  O.K, I can live with that.
  
• Dark Templars now take 2 Psi instead of 3. Note: Dark Archons therefore take 4 instead of 6.
  Ooh. I see a possible hazard here, the Dark Templars become easier to get, and require less maintance. If your going to decrease this, possibly make em cost more?
  
• Carrier cost reduced by 50 gas, to 350 minerals and 250 gas.
  350/250! Pretty good deal, though I think it would be better at 300/300.
  
• Scout gun attack speed (ground attack only) was reduced by 65%.
  
• Wraith laser attack speed (ground attack only) was reduced by 65%.
  I don't see the point to this. They attack slow enough already, make em slower? Then their only purpose is Anti-Air.
  
• Dropship speed was increased to be the same as that of an unupgraded Shuttle.
  
• Upgraded Overlord speed was increased to be the same speed as a Dropship.
  
• Valkyrie armor was reduced by 1, to 2.
  No real problems above.

It seems that EB World is claiming that Brood Wars is going to be released November 10th. I wouldn't get up your hopes, as we all know how truthful EB World really is. Expect the release date to be a couple weeks later knowing Blizzard.

news - Where all the current news and updates are.
info - General Starcraft Info, Units, statisitics, cheat codes, etc.
strats - Our strat section with many different types of strategies: race, map, analytic, situational strats, and etc.
articles - This section contains interesting written materials, also includes interviews
stories - A fun section containing entertaining literature, fan fics, and battle reports
scums - Our scm page, single/multiplayer, scenarios/campaigns, and scm building tutorials/explanations.
images - It's a gallery of images, screenshots, concept art, fan art, rendered/movie art, and etc.
files - Only contains cool SC programs, no cheats/hacks
forums - A place to post messages! not ready yet!
links - An archive of other starcraft sites! add your own links here!
misc. - A fun section with cool stuff that doesn't have a specific section, just a lot of fun things
