Tournament Ends Tomorrow - NobleHelium @ 8:13 pm EST
Yes, I know we said the tourney would end today. However, one of the finalists had to leave before the championship match could be held, and thus we decided to be nice and postpone the last game till tomorrow. Report to Clan SC:M tomorrow for the last game of the finals...and no, we can't have 6 watchers. Chris is in a game right now, and I'm working on a map (GASP! NH does maps?!) so I figured I'd post.

The New Guy - Raptor @ 5:15 pm EST
Greetings all! I'm Raptor, the world's renowned strategist who came in 11th place at 2000's KBK tournament and 17th in 2001's Spring B.net Season. (end corny sarcasm) Ok, here's the general stuff about me. I've worked @ sclegacy for the past year and a half, and before that, @ starcraft station (which closed down end of 1999). I tend to focus mainly on Zerg strategies. Don't ask me about Protoss... =)Now then, I'm still learning the ropes here, so if this is totally messed up in format (as if I know HTML anyways, LOL) then blame SpaceDominator for not teaching me enough. The reason I've "moved" to SC:M is for a variety of reasons.

1- Better management. SD has been a good friend of mine, and unlike the guys over at SCL, he doesn't have some mental disorder.

2- The SCL strategy section, which may have once been the best, is now a total rip-off that is beaten by little geocities starcraft sites....

3- More fans are becoming SC:M fans, and so here people will actually read my strategies again.

4- I'm bored with SCL

5- Running out of reasons, but you get the point... =)Well I'll transfer my strategies as soon as I get access from Mr. Agelmar, but until then, stay tuned!
Over and out,
--Raptor--

Rounds 3,4 and 5 Tonight - SpaceDominator @ 10:46 am EST
The first SCM tournament should end tonight. We are down to 6 people in the tournament. Last night, we ran Round 2 without a hitch. Round 3 was up to the participants to either play last night or tonight at 7:00 PM EST in the channel Clan SC:M. The following are the 7 survivors:

  • Heaven01 vs [Kp]-Tae
  • ManiacTheZealot
  • SuckyTerranUser
  • [x]Stealth
  • Rush)_Forever

    The Matchups:

Round 3 Games Yet To Be Played:

  • Heaven01 vs [Kp]-Tae

    Round 4 Games:

  • ManiacTheZealot vs [X]Stealth
  • Rush)_Forever vs Heaven01/Tae Winner
  • SuckyTerranUser(BYE)

Unfortunately the tournament will end up with 3 players at this point. Those 3 will be forced to play a single Free For All game. The first person eliminated from the game is out and the game ends. The last two then play a 1v1 for the SC:M Championship. There is no other way to fix that. =(

However, The action is getting exciting and tonight we should unvail our first SC:M Tournament Champion. =)
    Stay Tuned,

Additions to SD's post - Chrisjc @ 5:08 pm EST
Well, there was a bit of question as to what time the tournament started for different timezones. The following are the start times in all the United States Time Zones:
    - Pacific Time: 4:00 PM (GMT -08:00)
    - Mountain Time: 5:00 PM (GMT -07:00)
    - Central Time: 6:00 PM (GMT -06:00)
    - Eastern Time: 7:00 PM (GMT -05:00)

If you won a match yesterday, show up in Clan SC:M at the time listed above. There were a few um.. discrepancies in the reported results. Please do not arrive 15 or 20 minutes later than the scheduled start time -- you will not be allowed to play if you do. Whoever shows up LATER than that grace period will not be allowed to play.

We are not writing and posting brackets beforehand due to the possibility of attendance problems. As always, after you complete a game, report it.

Argh.. one more thing, WE'RE ON EAST.

Nuke Rush - .Phobos @ 1:35 pm EST
It's me again, due to a family emergency I was unable to produce the strats that i promised the other week, however I've started to get back into the rhythm of everday life and here's the first of many to come. You can find the strategy in the strategy section, or by clicking here. For anyone who wants to use nukes to their advantage, this is a must-read.

Wrapping up Round 1 - Chrisjc @ 9:20 pm EST
Okay, it didn't go as good as one would hope, but we got some games played. The only problem is, I don't have all the replays. By the way, congrats to [X]Stealth for actually figuring out how to use the Replay URL thing =)

I DO NOT have replays for the following games:

    - [-NewblaR-] vs ---Halcyon---
    - Tasteless vs csaxrulz
    - Nanoboy vs D[x]GladRider

    Tournament - Canon @ 8:50 pm EST
This is the final post regarding the Broodwar Tournament. I would have liked to see more people than what I saw show up, and I thank those who did. Special thanks to SpaceDominator for helping fix stuff, and to ChrisJC for writing the scripts. I would like to now say that this tournament was a utter and complete disaster, as people who signed up were either to stupid to figure out where to go our didn't show up for unknown reasons. Also to the people that did show up, your games are now unofficial, and the tournament has been called off. Thanks again to those that did support us. Good night.

MidasKnight Tournament Expands to 256! - SpaceDominator @ 9:32 am EST
Did you think you missed out? MidasKnight has decided to expand the tournament. Here are the details:

Due to the huge explosion of interest in my latest 2v2 Brood War Tournament, Episode 2 has been expanded to 256 teams (this is a whooping 512 people for those that are mathematically challenged). We have a great many nations being represented in this tourny including the United States, Canada, Germany, Korea, Bulgaria and Italy among others. This is a great opportunity to expose yourself to the different playing styles of people in other parts of the world. If you haven't signed up yet, get on it.

To aid us in our endeavor to host a tournament of this magnitude, Wrexsoul of TheWar.net has written up a tournament manager program that I have dubbed WrexConnect 1.0. This program features options to sign up for the tournament, view your bracket standings, submit replays, report losses and many other options. WrexConnect 1.0 will be available to download within the next couple of days. We'll keep you posted.

So, there you have it. Go sign up at this address today.

Special Thanks to Chris - Canon @ 5:47 pm EST
As I was away, Chris wrote a wonderful little script to aid in this tournament. It is fairly simple, You tell it your name, their name, who won, map name, and round number. When you are done with a game report the outcome here. Please do not cheat by saying you won if you didn't. Remember only the WINNER is to report the outcome.

Additions to Canon's post - Chrisjc @ 11:10 pm EST
Since Canon's post ORIGINALLY looked like a two year old trying to use the paste function in Windows *runs and bonks SD :)*... I'll just say this: the number next to the channel name on Canon's post is where you fall in under the bracket listing. Hopefully you could figure that out on your own.

Now, just to reiterate what Canon said, you are expected to show up in your designated channel at 6PM US Central Standard Time, GMT -06:00 (he didn't include this =), on Wednesday, June 27th.

Ah.. yes, one more thing. Save a replay of every game you play in the tournament -- we will be putting our trained web monkeys (one of which will be myself...) to work for indexing and archiving your matches.

I am a huge fan of music. I'll listen to anything that you can put in front of me, except for Rap. True, it might not be the most exciting thing to listen to, but Blizzard Entertainment wants to make us buy the Diablo II Expansion Set. So, they decided to release one of their music files entitled "Siege." You can download this very entertaining musical piece at this address.

A Reworked Lost Temple? - SpaceDominator @ 2:32 pm EST
Redcloak, a fellow work mate of mine at Starcraft Legacy posted something very interesting at SC:L. Mr. MCTFG decided to rework the design of Lost Temple. What was his purpose for this? Here is the explanation:

For those that are interested, over the last several weeks I have worked on creating a map based on the Blizzard Lost Temple map which as everyone knows is only second in popularity to the notorious Big Game Hunters map. The goal of this new map was to keep the features of the original Lost Temple that made it the most popular ladder map of all time, while changing many other features of the original Lost Temple which promoted boring gameplay, gimmick strategies that exploit map imbalances, and routine build orders that when executed countless times between two opponents can become mindnumbing over time. In other words, the goal was to make the map favor strategical gameplay over tactical gameplay. Most of the changes were made in an effort to open up gameplay and discourage strategies which though effective make any RTS map boring over time. RTS game maps like Garden of War (Warcraft II), Tiberium Garden (C&C), and Southern California 1947 (C&C Red Alert) all share a similiar design with Starcraft's Lost Temple and promote camping (also known as containment), two unit strategies (hydra/lurk, muta/ling, vulture/tank, marine/vessel zealot/temp, reaver/goon), and crutch strats that make playing Starcraft less fun and less creative, and in the case of replays also less enjoyable to watch. This map has been playtested many times and has undergone many, many changes to reflect some glaring problems others saw in the feedback I received while testing the map in 1v1's and 2v2's, so needless to say much effort has gone into trying to make this a fun 1v1 or 2v2 map for newbies as well as experts. The downloadable zip file contains two versions of New Lost Temple in the form of a Melee version and a Use Map Settings version that has four observer slots. Last but not least, there is a readme.txt file which explains the motivations to the changes/enhancements of the original Lost Temple. Hopefully many people will enjoy this map as much as I have in creating it. I only made it for fun just as I have in the past with game mods I have made for other RTS games like Command and Conquer and Red Alert where I made Ultimate C&C (a binary mod for C&C) and then 2 years later Ultimate Red Alert (a binary mod for C&C Red Alert). Both mods were extremely popular in their day, so please do not write me off as some RTS newb shamelessly promoting his map, rather write me off as some guy with experience in game design and strategy shamelessly promoting a map he made. Honestly, I simply just offer this map to the Starcraft community, for better or for worse, just as other map makers have with Altered Starcraft and UMS maps like Zealot Farm (my all-time favorite) or Starship Troopers. After all, even if only one person enjoys New Lost Temple (other than myself of course) then I would consider it a success. Last but not least, many thanks to everyone who gave me all of the positive as well as negative feedback to get this map into its final form, especially those who were the most critical. You know who you are so I will spare you the agony of mentioning you by name.

Perhaps this would be something better to play instead of the regular Lost Temple? I'll be testing out the map myself and we'll take a look to see whether or not this is the neatest thing to hit the SC Community since 1.08. Anyhow, you can download the map at this address.

Thanks again to Redcloak and Starcraft Legacy for this very informative post.

Beat the Staff TONIGHT! - SpaceDominator @ 1:56 pm EST
Tonight is Beat the Staff on Battle.Net starting at 7:00 PM EST. There will be several "SIDE" events that are going to occur throughout the night as well. First of all the basics:

Server: USEAST.- If too many problems are occuring on USEast, we will shift to USWest.
Channel(s): At 7:00 PM EST, Meet in the channel Clan SC:M. If we recieve an extremely large number of people, we will be meeting in several channels, named Clan SC:M2, Clan SC:M3 and the such.
Game Types: Anything, except for obnoxious UMS maps.

    Process of BTS:

There will be a limited number of staff members. Your patience will be required throughout the evening for the event to be a success. We will eventually attempt to play against ALL interested parties. All games that occur at BTS, do not have to be games in which you challenge the staff. You are free to play any other games that you wish. The Staff are to create ALL Games unless agreed to with the other team.

Let's assume that there are 8 people in the channel and 2 staff members. The two staff members will challenge 2 of the people, while the other 6 can go play an FFA. Then the next 2 can play against the staff and so forth. Do not feel limited to just playing the staff. Other players can be beaten too. =)

One very IMPORTANT detail is how I record the results. If you are the WINNER of a game of Starcraft, please whisper KingKrumb the results. I will be having my War2 BNE Edition character online, just to accept these results. I would also like to recieve the replays from ALL Games so we can post them here at SC:M. It's also a chance to verify the results. You can do this in two ways, email them to me at spacedominator@scmillennium or from 8:15-8:45, I will not participate in any games. During this half an hour, you can create a game with the replay and I'll get it that way.

    Events Held During The Evening

7:00 PM EST(Opening Ceremony)- I will for the first 15 minutes answer any questions that you might have about the competition. If i'm not there, the competition will just begin in the channels.

8:15-8:45 PM EST(Replay Exchange)- Catch me at this time, to send the replays to me.

9:00 PM EST(The Ultimate FFA)- Four Members of the Staff and Four Members of the Community are needed. The community is responsible for selecting it's four representatives. You can do anything to make a decision. However, the game must start at 9:00 PM EST. Only people who are participating in the event should enter the channel Clan SC:M. All non participants go to channel Clan SC:M2.

10:00 PM EST(Weakest Link)- Are you the smartest person at Beat the Staff? Well you get a chance to prove it. Tonight we will be holding our next Weakest Link competition. If you want to take part, show up in the channel Clan SC:M at this time. For ALL Details go to this address. I will not repeat the rules in the game.

I'd copy and paste the rules and print it out, so you don't forget everything. See you tonight at Beat the Staff I

Staff Request! - SpaceDominator @ 10:52 am EST
Dear Distinguished Members of The Starcraft Community,

It has come to my attention that we the unfortunate souls who work at Starcraft Millennium are forced to drag more into the collective. We here at Starcraft Millennium are in the need of a pair of graphic designers. If you have any skill in this regard, please email me at spacedominator@scmillennium.com; with an example of your work.

Also, if you would like to maintain one or more of the weekly features here at Starcraft Millennium, email me. It's good for you. =)

Could this be a sign of things to come? I don't know. You'll just have to wait to find out.

New Features - SpaceDominator @ 12:58 am EST
Hi everyone! I have completed my work on the Starcraft Millennium section for tonight. If you check out the Miscellaneous section right now, you will notice that it has gone through quite a change. There have been some new features added. The new features are as follows:

Replay of the Week- Starting later today(posted at 12:52 PM) I will be posting a replay each week. At this page you can read about the Replay and can download the replay. There is also a link to this page in the stories section.

Battle.Net Post of the Week- A feature that I enjoyed doing a long time ago. Each week, I will go onto Battle.Net's fabled forums(bad move usually) and find the one worthwhile post worth commenting on. This week's first feature is currently up. The post is discussing a game between a Protoss and a Heavy Metal terran player, that is well written!

Hall Of Fame- If you do something well, you deserve recognition. I feel that at the tournaments and the such, we need a way to remember all of the fine memories. The Hall of Fame is that chance.

Debate of the Month- Some people love to argue, and will not stop until they are proven correctly. Well, try arguing about some interesting topics. Every 4th Thursday of the Month there will be a 30 minute meeting where everyone will discuss the issue on B.Net just for fun. Then we'll come up with a conclusion and post it.All of the above features are in the Miscellaneous section.

You can also check out our other Weekly Features. The Tip of the Week, Puzzle of the Week and Map of the Millennium have also been updated. Check out our two new sections and Phobos's new strategy!

    Diablo II 1.08 - NobleHelium @ 3:01 pm EST
Whoa, I was so surprised by this patch. I play D2 quite a bit, and I now have to remake my sorceress for the second time =). No big deal though, since I was going to remake her for D2X anyway. Anyway, the following is a quote from VenomousVixen from The Sorceress Source. I found it quite interesting. I also agree to what he is hinting at...

"One must wonder why Blizzard made some of these changes to regular D2. I can understand why they might nerf some skills or other things in small ways to make some play balance adjustments. But adding in monster immunities at the same time? Seriously nerfing blocking in a way that requires you to add points (that you probly don't have) to DEX? That kills so many current high-level characters for solo play. And Blizzard has for the longest time been singing a tune about not wanting to nerf characters because it's not fair to players. *blink* *blink* But hey, you know what? If you buy the Expansion kiddies, then new items and item mods are available to help take care of these new problems with the old game. Hmmm...think there could be any connection here between the nerfs in 1.08 D2 and the fact that you can get help for them if you buy the Expansion? Nah...couldn't be..."

Diablo II Patch 1.08 RELEASED! - SpaceDominator @ 11:47 am EST
Yes, I know this isn't Starcraft news but some SC Players also are Diablo 2 Players. The 1.08 Patch for Diablo II has been released. The changes are numerous! Blizzard Entertainment made a large number of gameplay changes. You will want to read all about it at this address.

Here is a bit of info though:
Why did Blizzard Entertainment decide to make gameplay changes to Diablo II?

In order to maintain Blizzard Entertainment's high standards of quality, we continue fine-tuning gameplay, when appropriate, by providing patches. Patch 1.08 was designed specifically to enhance the classic gameplay found in Diablo II by creating improvements to the balance and item generation found in the game. These improvements were also incorporated to prolong the life of the product for our players without requiring the purchase of Diablo® II: Lord of Destruction TM.

The individual changes for the five classes are as follows:

    Barbarian

  • Whirlwind now alternates between two weapons when using two-weapon style.

    Paladin
  • Increased Holy Shock's melee damage bonus.
  • Decreased the power of Conviction.
  • Added a casting delay for Fist of Heavens and increased its damage.
  • Increased the blocking bonus that Holy Shield gives.
  • Conviction does not affect immunities.

    Necromancer

  • Increased Fire Golem's melee damage.
  • The hitpoints for a Revived monster no longer increase with more players in a game.
  • Amplify Damage and Lower Resist do not affect immunities.

    Sorceress

  • Increased Fire Wall's damage.
  • Increased Blizzard's duration.
  • Decreased Meteor's casting delay.
  • Decreased casting time for Chain Lightning and Lightning.
  • Increased Frozen Orb's damage.
  • Thunderstorm now hits a target every time.
  • Cold Mastery will not affect cold immune monsters.
  • The damage inflicted by Ice Blast, Fire Ball, Lightning, Nova, and Glacial Spike, per level has been increased.

    Amazon

  • Increased Freezing Arrow damage.
  • Increased Ice Arrow damage.
  • Increased Immolation Arrow damage, added a casting delay and decreased the fire duration.
  • Added a casting delay to Plague Javelin and increased its damage.

Download the patch by going onto B.net or go to this address.

Strategies Are Up! - SpaceDominator @ 11:35 am EST
Both of the strategies that I promised from yesterday are up. The first one has to deal with BTS and how you should mentally prepare for it. It's not a very complicated article but it's an important article. I'd read it, if I was you.

Also, the second strategy that I have posted was about the First Few Minutes. In the first few minutes of a game of Starcraft, things happen really quickly. You are forced to develop a strategy, forced to execute a strategy and start the backbone of your entire force. Without a successful first few minutes, you won't have much luck.

We also recieved another bonus strategy into the section. Dhavok is really going to town for us. =) He wrote his next strategy about Automated Starcraft. The key to this is that it teaches you all of the small details, such as Cloning which will make you a better player, and save you time. In a game of Starcraft, seconds are precious. You can't waste them.

Enjoy all three strategies at this address. Soon, I will be adding some material to the Miscellaneous section and the Weekly features will be updated.
    Thanks,

What Makes An Online Game Successful? - SpaceDominator @ 11:31 am EST
GameSpot will sometimes pose some very interesting questions to the gaming community. This week's Question of the Week is no different! They propose the question: "What makes an online game successful?" Let's give you a large piece of the pie by giving GameSpot's introduction:

According to an IDC press release published in February, 40 million households will play online games by 2004, up 25 million from 2000. Online gaming has definitely caught on, and it's become synonymous with multiplayer gaming. As with other Internet-based activities, online gaming spans international boundaries, age, class, and gender. Across the world, players log on to their favorite games or services to seek out others for a battle of wits and strategy or to cooperatively defeat other teams of players or dangerous monsters. Although much of online gaming communication is conducted in English, some of the most successful games aren't even English-language games. Lineage: The Blood Pledge, a Korean online role-playing game developed by NCsoft, boasts 2 million active accounts and as many as 180,000 simultaneous users, which ostensibly makes it the most successful online game in history. Other extremely popular online games include Sony's 3D online RPG EverQuest; Counter-Strike, which is undoubtedly the most popular online shooter today; Tribes 2; and Diablo II.

The success of these and similar games has been a very sweet temptation for developers wanting a slice of the pie. An incredible number of massively multiplayer games or online persistent-world games have been announced in the last two years--not a month seems to pass without another announcement. But is there a place for all these "me too" games? Some strong contenders like Funcom's Anarchy Online will soon be ready to test the market, while developers closely watch the incumbents. So what makes an online game successful? This week we tackle the question along with special guest writer and Ultima Online designer Starr Long.

Located at this address is several opinions on this issue. I'm curious to know what you think. Comment on this article below!

My own opinion is that an online game is successful when three things can happen:
#1: The Game Is Enjoyable- If the players enjoy the game, you will be successful. Starcraft aced this fact. Each melee game of SC can be unique in it's own special way. Just look at all of the UMS maps as well.
#2: The Players Get Caught- In relation to #1, an online game is successful when a player gets caught on the game so much, that they become addicted. Addiction is a key money maker to a company. Also, when a player is addicted they spread the word to others.
#3: Ease of Usage- The service is very easy to use and players don't get annoyed terribly by it. SC is a touch below par on this basis but the basic design of B.Net is very simple to use.

Again, comment on what you think. It's a real interesting question.

    Tournaments! - SpaceDominator @ 11:25 am EST
Some people aren't just happy with being good in their own clan or in their own opinion. Some have to prove to others that they can really be dominant in a game, such as Starcraft. Tournaments are the most common way that players love to prove this. The SC Community always seems to be buzzing with some of these beautiful tournaments. Below is some details on some of the upcoming tournaments you may wish to consider:

SC:Dynasty is holding a 16 team 2v2 tournament. If you and a partner wish to compete in this competition(supposably for the brightest and the best), you are to look for the tourney admin, ":)Aries:(", on B.net. They have every right to refuse your acceptance as well.
    Source: Starcraft Nation

The Player's Club Tournaments- Every Friday Night on B.Net at 8:00 PM EST, Greydevil hosts a competition. If you wish to participate in these tourneys, e-mail xmaverick@aol.com or message GreyDevil on B.net.

MidasKnight's 2vs2 Tournament- MidasKnight will be holding a 2v2 Tournament on July 6th, 2001. At his website he is also requesting that people vote on which map they'd like to see in this competition. He also linked to us here, so we owe him a favor. Go check him out today at this address.

Our Own Tournaments- We will be holding Beat the Staff This Friday. If you haven't signed up, please do. It's not a prerequisite but for the name of simplicity, do it! More details on this will be coming at you tomorrow and Friday.

Now that you know where the tournaments are, go win them!

For Aiur - SpaceDominator @ 11:11 am EST
BattleReports.com has always been one of my favorite webpages. You will always find some very well written battle reports there. Quotes highlight the top of the screen and sometimes you are just forced to laugh.

Breeze is one of the most talented at his job of reporting games. He introduces the game with a very cool flash image and then continues to use 3D imagery to make the game come to life. Breeze decided to cover the joys of a simple Protoss vs Protoss encounter. Check out this amazing Battle Report at this address. It's better then a replay by a few hundred times. However, he even included the replay for you to download. =)

If you are in the mood for something a little less flashy, check out ::nobody::'s Battle Report at this address.

I admire them for being able to put the time and effort into those pieces of work. Amazing! Bless them with some of your attention, today!

Weekly Plan - SpaceDominator @ 12:34 pm EST
Welcome to the first of several weekly plans that I will be writing here at Starcraft Millennium. The idea of these weekly plans is to give you an idea of what to expect out of us here at Starcraft Millennium over the next week. Without further adeu, here is the plan:

    Tuesday June 19th, 2001-

  • Upload Dhavok's Two New Strategies(Complete)- Dhavok, a new staff member to us here at Starcraft Millennium has written up two very interesting strategies. The first was about the Mineral Wall. The Mineral Wall is very efficient because you are using the minerals that you mine to defend yourself from being hurt as badly. The second is entitled "Terran Bombs." which is based apon the usage of the Infested Terrans. Check those two new entries into our strategy section today!

  • Two Strategies from Myself- I am planning on having a pair of strategies done for everyone by the end of today. If this changes, you will know. Expect one mental strategy(which will be looking at the details of the future tournaments here at SC:M). The other will be talking about a situation in which every game of Starcraft enters, the opening. Your opening manuevers in a game of Starcraft are key. They reveal your strategy to your opponents and are vital in your success. I'll be stating a few tips on how to maximize your efficiency in the Early game. That should get you looking forward to those. =)

    Wednesday, July 20th, 2001-

  • The Miscellaneous Section- If you take a look at the Miscellaneous section right now, you'll see that there are a lot of things in there that aren't necessary or have broken links. I will be going through that section and adding a couple of surprises detailing events of the future and new golden features that are coming along.

  • New Puzzle, New Tip, New MOTM- From this point on, I will be updating all of these details on Sunday, like I used to. However, tomorrow I will be uploading a new puzzle, a new tip of the week(from Dhavok with some extra comments from myself) and a new Map Of The Millennium. I am always looking for submissions from the community in any of these regards. Perhaps you have a really neat idea for a Puzzle. It's not that hard to come up with one. Perhaps, a tip or tactic that you found really cool in a game of SC? How about a SCM that you really liked! Email them all to me at spacedominator@scmillennium.com

    Thursday, June 21st, 2001-

  • Replays- Replays are a neat thing for the Starcraft Community to check out. You can watch the styles of play and sit back enjoy some Pizza or Popcorn and watch a game. You'll learn many things from these replays. On Thursday, I plan on adding a couple of replays to wet your appetite for our Replay of the Millennium feature.(Cough)

  • Pair of Strategies- I will also write a couple more strategies to slowly rebuild the pride of the strategy section. =) Hopefully, my fellow staff members will also be willing to help with this nice chore.

    Friday, July 22nd, 2001-

  • Beat the Staff- Everything will be revealed about Beat the Staff. It will be held at 7:00 PM EST in the channel Clan SC:M. Since there are a large number of players against our very small staff, we will be making a few concessions at the time. In the past we have turned Beat the Staff into a competition between two teams headed up by a staff members on both sides. Then the two sides compete against each other and side with the most points wins..

However, I am almost sure that the community would like to have games against the SC:M Staff instead. We will do our best with the large number of people we have signed up for BTS. I will request that you be patient and play with other players until the time comes. It's all in the name of fun, not in the name of killing us.

On Friday, I will be detailing ALL of the details in one large news post. However, in fair warning, the competition will be run at 7:00 PM, and the 9:00 PM FFA will also occur.
    (ALL TIMES ARE EASTERN)

This should give you a lot to look forward to this week.
    Thanks,
    SpaceDominator

New Strategy Up! - SpaceDominator @ 11:33 am EST
Hi Everyone! It's been a busy time for me. I had finals to prepare for and that had to take a higher priority then SC:M. However, with school out. That won't happen.

On my birthday I produced a strategy entitled Off-The-Wall Strategies. These strategies are things that you would never think about executing in a game of Starcraft. However, the odd detail is that they can work! I've explored three different strategies(one for each race) and I went into detail about how to execute them and the backbones of how it works. You should enjoy this strategy at this address.

Agelmar will be gone for the next month, but don't expect any slow downs from us. We will be moving full-steam ahead with our pair of tournaments over the next two weeks. You will also be seeing a weekly plan which will detail the things you can expect from SC:M over that current week. It's a matter of keeping us organized and a manner of keeping you coming back to look forward to the new content that will be coming.

Beat the Staff is this Friday. If you have not signed up for the competition, do not worry. However, signing up for the competition does make life easier on us so I can get a better judgement for how many will show up. It'll be very interesting when we have 50 community people taking on 6 staff members.

Also, if you want to do me a huge favor, I'd love it. Agelmar will be going to Germany as he stated, and he will be gone for a month as he stated. However, why only a month? We could leave him there for 3 months, 4 months even. If you would like to help me in my scheme to keep him away for even longer, please send a check of $1000.00 or more to the "Keep Agelmar in Germany" trust fund.(Like SpaceDominated said, we like to have fun here at SC:M)
    Thank You,
    SpaceDominator

    Leaving - Agelmar @ 8:01 am EST
I am leaving for Germany in a few hours, and I will be gone until 7/18. Until then, SC:M is in the capable hands of her staff. SpaceDominator will be taking my place while I am gone, so be kind to him :-). I will be unable to check my email, so if you have something important to tell us, please send it to SpaceDominator or one of the other staff. On another note, today is also my birthday (yea!). Enjoy the tournament! Hopefully we will also have some new strats posted soon, so stick around! SC:M is once again rockin'.

    Until July,
    Agelmar

This position requires a "good sense" of humor. Meaning you must know what's funny, and how to make it funny. You must also have good organizational skills and a serious side to you. You could do anything from submitting jokes, to pulling b.net prank, or writing up a funny story.

New Map of the Millennium - Agelmar @ 3:18 pm EST
We have a new Map of the Millennium! This week's is called Syndian Mountain Top. It is a 4 player map (128x128) on the Badlands terrain. It is an anti-rushing map, and an absolute joy to play. For those of you who are wondering what the difference between the Map of the Millennium (accessed by clicking M.O.T.M. on the left hand side of the main page) and the Scum of the Week... originally, Blizzard was making a map each week, but they have since stopped. We are going to have our map people make some more good maps, and each week we will select one and make it our own Scum of the Week. So, in brief, the M.O.T.M. is created by the fans, the Scum of the Week is created by us. You can access the M.O.T.M. here.

Poll Results - Agelmar @ 9:52 pm EST
The people have spoken. The poll clearly indicates what you, the fans, want. It would seem that we should make strategies a priority. We are currently working on creating new strategies. We have a whole new strategy team working on this. (Of course, we are always looking for more strategists. If interested, email Agelmar.) For many of us, this is finals week, and as such, it is difficult for us to create a lot of new content. However, we are trying. You can visit our strategy archives, which contain all of the strategies created before our new stragegy posting script, here. Don't forget to vote on the new poll topic!

    SC 1.09 - Agelmar @ 6:47 pm EST
On May 22, Blizzard announced that there would be a 1.09 for SC and BW coming out soon. I have heard from a few people that "soon" will mean Friday, 6/15. This is totally unconfirmed, but this is what I'm hearing. SCMillennium makes no guarantees whatsoever as to the accuracy of this date, I'm just tired of hearing "I heard it's coming out on Friday why don't you post it?" So there it is. Now you are totally up-to-date with the latest patch rumors :-)

Tournament clarification - Agelmar @ 4:16 pm EST
Some people have been a bit confused with the multiple tournaments going on, so I wanted to clear this up. Beat the Staff will happen on June 22. Signup for Beat the Staff is at http://www.scmillennium.com/tournament/btssignup.shtml and info is at http://www.scmillennium.com/bts.shtml. If you plan on attending Beat the Staff, please sign up soon, so we can organize the event. We just did a bit of relocating, so please sign up for beat the staff here, even if you did already (we had to purge the list, there was a slight problem. As of this post, there are no people signed up for BTS, the slight problem erased the signup list.)The 32 person tournament (which just might become 64 if enough people sign up) is happening June 27,28,29 (that's a wednesday, thursday, and friday, if this causes a problem please email canon@scmillennium.com, and if it causes a problem for a lot of people, we will see what we can do). We are hoping, however, that for most people this is past the end of the school year, and should not be a problem. The signup for this tournament is located at http://www.scmillennium.com/tournament/signup.shtml. If you are interested in participating, please sign up as soon as possible so that we can get things organized. Below is a list of all people who are signed up for the 32 person tournament as of this post. If you meant to sign up for Beat the Staff, please sign up for that here, and email Agelmar if you wish to be removed from the 32 person tournament (feel free to participate in both events).People signed up for the 32 person as of 4:18PM EST tournament:

Although registration for Beat the Staff is not strictly required (we won't turn anyone away who shows up on Friday the 22nd), registering will help us to organize the event and make it more fun for everyone. Registration is required for the 32 person tournament on June 27,28,29. This tournament is too large to just throw together at the last minute. We will post well in advance before we close registration, which will probably be on June 26. Early registration (soon) is appreciated however, as it lets us know the scale of the event we are trying to manage, and how many people we need to assign to do what.

Blizzard takes cheating seriously - Agelmar @ 9:51 pm EST
We recently got an email from a fan informing us about a response from Blizzard he got. He found a site which was distributing a 1.08 maphack, and emailed Blizzard about it, asking them to take it down. He actually got a response from Blizzard, which made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside for two reasons:

    1. Blizzard still cares about SC
    2. Blizzard is actually trying to do something about cheating and BNet's problems
If you want to see the response he got, here it is:
While it is our goal to combat cheating and hacking on multiple fronts, we realize this effort will be difficult without the active support of our customers and fans. With assistance, such as what you have provided, our efforts to diminish cheating and hacking within the Battle.net community will prove to be more effective. Thank you for your show of support and concern, it is appreciated by each and every individual within our company.

    User-submitted maps - Agelmar @ 8:13 pm EST
Here at SC:M, we do have a few map-makers, but a few people can only do so many things. Last night, I had an inspiration. I was on Yahoo playing Euchre (I play as mog_agelmar if you ever see me on...) and my partner was talking about starcraft (it was rather odd, talking about SC while playing euchre). Anyhow, he was talking about how he loved custom made maps, and how he was so sick of either playing BGH or playing "a bunch of Koreans on Lost Temple." So I got to thinking... what if we had a user-submitted SCM section? I bounced it off of a few people, and they thought it was a good idea. So, this week (hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday), I am going to whip up a script that will allow people to upload their maps and have them displayed. Think this is a good idea? Hate this idea? Tell us about it over in the SCM/SCX forums!

Sorry I forgot the URL - go here to sign! (And P.S. I did sign - I'm #1194)

Regarding the Petition - NobleHelium @ 2:55 pm EST
Well, the post by GFraizer was quite interesting. Agelmar didn't leave the url for the petition *cough* so go here to sign it. There's no harm to signing it - it only takes one minute and hey, you never know if Blizzard will actually listen. I personally signed it way back in the 500s. It's past 4000 by now. Oh and you can spam Agelmar some more for not signing it ;).

Beat the Staff Coming Up! - Agelmar @ 10:59 pm EST
Beat the Staff will be held on June 22 at 7PM (19:00) EST. (For those of you outside of the States, that's 00:00 GMT). It will be a night full of fun, so tell all your friends about it! In an effort to try and get things organized, we are asking people to sign up in advance (it's easy, and only takes a second.) Please sign up at http://www.scmillennium.com/tournament/signup.shtml and tell your friends to sign up too! :-) For more information on Beat the Staff (i.e. the format of the tournament, scoring, rules, etc) go to http://www.scmillennium.com/bts.shtml. If you have any questions about Beat the Staff, feel free to ask them over in the BTS Forum here.

Note: "Beat the Staff" does not mean that you will necessarily beat the staff... Remember, we have a lot of strategists, and some generally obsessive SC-players on our staff :-)

GFrazier Comments on Petition - Agelmar @ 10:07 pm EST
Over in The War Room, on the BNet Forums, GFrazier actually made some comments on the recent petition to get the bots unbanned from BNet:

"I've never seen a Petition reverse any change in the history of Blizzard. I've seen one petition asking for Warcraft Adventures to be still made prompt Blizzard to make a statement on that, but that didn't change the decision.

I don't expect to see this telnet change reversed. Blizzard knew some people would be unhappy but the overall result was a good one for the majority of Battle.net users."
You can find The War Room here, in which GFrazier has made multiple other comments re: the bots. This one seemed post-worthy, since I keep getting all this spam about the petition.

New Strategy - .Phobos @ 11:26 pm EST
I've written my second strategy and have posted it here. It is the way I start out any game of Brood War in which I am Zerg, and I hope you, the viewers, get something out of it. I think it's very important that the style of writing I use in my strats be criticized (constructively), so that I can adapt and make everyone happy. If you like what you see, or think I have no idea what I'm doing, drop me a line at Phobos@Scmillennium.com.

Content Update - SpaceDominator @ 8:43 pm EST
There are a few things that I would like to note about the content that is currently up and the details that we here at Starcraft Millennium need your help with. They include the following:

  • Beat the Staff Information- Beat the Staff is an event that I enjoyed running in the first generation of Starcraft Millennium. It's an event for bragging rights, glory and fun as the Starcraft Community challenges the Starcraft Millennium Staff to games of Starcraft. With a very complicated points system(yeah, right) and strong opponents(yeah, right) it could be a very fierce competition. You will always know about the event two to three days in advance. In the meanwhile, you can read about Beat the Staff at this address. You see, you can spend the first 30 minutes reading and criticizing my strategy and then read this document. =)

  • The Simplest Puzzle In The World- This is my first puzzle of the week that I have written for SC:M in ages. If you look at the main news page(not this page) you will notice that there are two areas below the listing of the news. The Tip of the Week, and The Puzzle of The Week. The Puzzle of the Week is your chance to show the SC Community how well you would deal with a certain position, or the such. You can read this week's puzzle at this address.

  • Replays/Battle Reports/Stories- Do you have a really cool replay of a game in which you owned someone? Do you have a really good Battle Report that you want to have the community read? Or do you have a general fan fiction novel that you want to have posted? We can do this! Just send a copy of the document, or .rep file to spacedominator@scmillennium.com and it'll be posted in our Stories Section ASAP.

I'd also just like to remind the community that if you have any really great strategy that you enjoy using, why not share it? Our readers here at SC:M would love to hear your opinions, your thoughts. Just send them to me at spacedominator@scmillennium.com. I'll be sure to post them to our slowly, but surely growing strategy archive.

Enjoy your evening and may your games of Starcraft be merry and filled with victory,
    SpaceDominator

New strategy - Agelmar @ 6:09 pm EST
The illustrious SpaceDominator has posted a wonderful strategy on how to be a better player in a team game! Definitely a must read for anyone who likes to play on B.Net (especially if you like to be liked :-). On a somewhat related note, trust SD's strategies. He just owned me about an hour ago in a game (I was zerg, he was toss. He zeal rushed me, and I was screwed. Perhaps I expanded too fast and didn't get enough defense in?) Anyhow, what I'm trying to say is, listen to SD! He knows what he's talking about!. I'll try to get some community news up after dinner, until then, feel free to discuss the latest strategy in the Strategy Forum!

Minor updates - Chrisjc @ 8:16 pm EST
Updated the Starcraft unit statistics (needed 1.08 changes), and the files page, because about all of the downloads there are antiquated old pieces of junk, obsoleted by Battle.net changes *sarcasm* for the betterment of the battle.net service *end sarcasm*, or simply have better versions and multiple platform releases available, like for FSGS. Also, I edited the Scum of the week thing below since Blizzard has discontinued it. If we ever have our own MOTW thing, a link to that will be placed there. That's all for today from me.

Strats on the way - Agelmar @ 10:33 pm EST
Loophole has been helping me out with the stragegy situation. He has helped me to design a script which will allow our strategy writers to quickly post their strategies to the page, and have them be visible for your enjoyment. This should be up sometime tonight, so expect new strategies to be up soon! Enjoy, and be sure to discuss strategies in the new Strategy forum! You asked and you got it. Comments are here. - Agelmar @ 6:13 pm EST
I've gotten a lot of email from people saying "Site X and Site Y have comments on their news, why don't you? You should." I guess I'm not the biggest fan of comments, but hey, give the people what they want! As such, the comments have now been enabled and should be fully functional. Comment away, and don't forget to discuss other matters over in our forums.

A quick note. Yes, I am aware of the fact that the "comments" link does not show how many comments have been posted. This feature is not in the version of the news script we are using (the latest beta version). I promise you that as soon as it is available, I will update the script so you can see the number of comments posted :-)

Hey guys, this is Canon, I'm the new editorialist here at SC:M. I'm not gonna type a whole schpeel about how i'm gonna help and such, because that is a given. If you think you have a topic worthy enough of an editorial, drop me a line at canon@scmillennium.com.Canon

New SCM Map Maker - Wizzard @ 8:58 am EST
Hello to all that may be reading this. I am WiZzArD, a new map maker at Starcraft Millenium. I look forward to providing the visitors of this site with some high-quality starcraft maps. If you need anything, email me at wizzard@scmillenium.com or contact me on ICQ, my number is 119242651. Bye for Now!

New Staff - Loophole @ 12:08 am EST
When SpaceDominator posted that Starcraft Millennium was looking for staff, I jumped at the chance to help. I've been a Starcraft junkie since two weeks after the game was released, and I had been thinking about trying to get involved in the community lately. What better way than to help stuff good content into Starcraft Millennium until it's bursting at the seams! I'm looking forward to working with Agelmar, SpaceDominator, and all of you in making Starcraft Millennium great again. You can visit the forums, or drop me an email if you want to catch up with me. =)

Email working - Agelmar @ 10:38 pm EST
Someone told me today that they could not reach me via webmaster@scmillennium.com. I do not know how long this has been out, but from what I can tell it went down sometime within the past four days. I fixed the problem a few minutes ago, so if you sent an email to webmaster@scmillennium.com and it bounced, please try again, as the problem is now solved. Sorry for the inconvenience. On a bit of a happier note, we have another new staff member, Loophole, who will be doing news, and various content around here, hopefully getting things running smoothly again. Drop him a little hello note over in the forums and post a bit :-)

Forums are up - Agelmar @ 5:48 pm EST
The forums are finally up. After being down for so long, I figured I would get them back up so that we could get feedback, and get that good ol' community feeling going again. Please make yourself comfortable and post away in the forums. I have updated the script, I like this one a lot better than the old (which I had coded by hand). Registration is required, but your information is secure. Once you choose a username, you will be emailed a password immediately. For this reason, it is important that you use a valid email address. Once you get your password, you will be able to login and change your profile (which includes your password). Head on over to the forums by clicking on "Forums" on the left, or by clicking here, and have fun!

    Battle.Net Update - SpaceDominator @ 11:05 am EST
Blizzard Entertainment has decided that they are going to make some changes to Battle.Net. It is also causing quite a stir around the Starcraft Community.

    Blizzard Entertainment's News Post:

The Battle.net Team has been working to improve the user's experience over the past 8 months. To that end, we are changing the amount of access that telnet clients will have on Battle.net chat channels. On Monday, June 4, we shall be restricting telnet user's access to just three channels, Blizzard Tech Support, Open Tech Support, and Blizzard Public. The last channel is a new channel specifically created for the telnet user. All full retail versions of Blizzard's games will be able to enter this channel. We anticipate that this change will improve communication on the chat channels.

In response to Blizzard Entertainment's new restrictions, a petition has been developed. The petition's author has stated the following:
We, the people of the Battle.net community, believe that the new restrictions on telnet user's access are unfair. Bots are an integral part of the success of all Clans/Clubs on the Battle.net network. We believe that there should be some arrangement made to accomodate the amount of users and to improve comunications in channels, but this is destroying much of the power that users have to deliver messages to the general public. This decision also hurts the clans in existance now that use bots to: (1)hold their channels and (2)protect them from being used to another's ends. There are other, more important ways to improve the Battle.net experience. Please reconsider your decision.

You can sign the petition if you wish at this address.

I can only speak from experience about this issue. When Beat the Staff was run here at Starcraft Millennium, I had never used a bot to maintain any of the control of the channel. At Starcraft Legacy, I've started to use a bot to help keep things organized. It's going to be a highly heated issue and perhaps it'll even eliminate some of the complaints about Patch 1.08. =)
    Thanks,
    SpaceDominator

Forums coming soon - Agelmar @ 9:22 pm EST
I am currently working on installing and configuring the forums. It's a real pain, but I think I can get the forums working soon. I should be finished within the next 48 hours. (Can you guess how I voted in the poll? :-) After that we'll work on updating the strategies, among other things. We still have plenty of openings, so if you're interested, drop SpaceDominator an email. Working as a part of a community gives you a warm fuzzy feeling, but what could be better than an @scmillennium.com email address? :-) So no matter how you feel you can help out, send us an email, or leave a comment in the forums when they're up!

Legacy Gaming Night Tonight - SpaceDominator @ 6:55 pm EST
Isn't it funny that my first news post in ages at Starcraft Millennium, will be about the other site I work at? Starcraft Legacy is hosting(by me) at 7:00 PM EST tonight(and for a quite a few Friday's to come), in the channel Clan LGN, Legacy Gaming Night. It's a chance for the community to come out and just play some games for fun. This also reminds me that Beat the Staff will also be starting back up here at SC:M soon, once we get a staff.

Also, at 8:30 PM EST in the channel Clan LHQ2 will be "Weakest Link II." You can read all about that at this address.Ah, isn't it great to hear a news post from me again?-SpaceDominator

Welcome Back To Starcraft Millennium - SpaceDominator @ 6:36 pm EST
Starcraft Millennium was a website that at one time had everything. It was considered the underdog of news, it had an outstanding set of content and it had some outstanding people. Now, in the time when everyone feels that Starcraft is dying we appear to prove this horrendous thought false. Starcraft Millennium, will return to the greatness of it's past. To help make this process much easier, I will need a group of people who are extremely willing to create content and recieve full credit for their successes and their failures. Starcraft Millennium will be different then most of the other sites on the internet, it will be focusing on content not news. In my own view, the judgement between a good page and a great page comes with the quality of the content, not what is shown for regurgitating news found on other sites.

The Requirements for Starcraft Millennium are as follows:

  • This is the most important of all of the requirements. I am looking for people with good character, good charisma, a good attitude and is willing to work at Starcraft Millennium for fun, not for business. Yes, we will want to look professional but I'd rather get a group of people together who can work together and respect each other for everything they do.

  • Second, a member of Starcraft Millennium must also be willing to actually play the game of Starcraft. I feel that a person who works at a Starcraft site should not be neglecting the most important people in the community, that's the viewer. Actually playing the game of Starcraft online with other members of the community is a great opportunity to show off their own tactics. As I have done with the strategy section at Starcraft Legacy, Starcraft Millennium will be interacting with the community through competitions(all in the name of fun), and through playing the game of Starcraft.

  • Third, a member of Starcraft Millennium will be able to have some basic knowledge of the written tone. I'm not necessarily only accepting people with perfect grammar. I'm looking at people who can not only show their ideas, but can express their ideas well. As I said previously, this does not mean perfect grammar, no one has it and by far I don't.

  • Fourth, a member of Starcraft Millennium must have some basic HTML skills or be willing to learn about it. I have been caught into situations where I have been forced to upload most of the documentation necessary. By no means, will this stop. However, having some HTML skills will help. We are also very willing to assist any new members of the SC:M staff to understanding the value of HTML and how it will be applied at Starcraft Millennium.

  • Fifth, a member of Starcraft Millennium must be able to make 2-3 meetings a month. Unlike most other sites where annual meetings are not held, I feel that a necessity to getting a good webpage in action is having the members willing to share their own ideas in how to improve the webpage. On top of this, I vow that once a month there will be a public meeting for any members of the community to come to the channel and ask us questions or give us suggestions on making the page the greatest it can be.

  • Sixth, a member of Starcraft Millennium does not have to have references to be accepted. However, in your application to the site I need to see an example of your work.

  • Seventh, every member of Starcraft Millennium works on the news. There are no requirements to an X number of a news posts that must be posted, but if you are out to help the website out in any means necessary you can spend 5 minutes and find one piece of news and post it.

    The Positions and The Duties-

  • Graphic Design- I feel that it might be nice for Starcraft Millennium to have a person who is willing to help design graphics for the website. Perhaps, in the future even getting a new layout into the mix. Anyone with any talent with graphics would be welcomed for Starcraft Milllennium, and I for one know Agelmar would also like to have a couple of these around for his future plans.

  • The Techies- People who understand CGI/PERL and all of the other interesting computer languages that help to make things easier on the workers would be needed as well. People who can create a script with some ease would be nice, or others who can fix things would be nice.

  • Strategy Writers- Are you a wiz at Starcraft, and really want to show that you are a fine player? Well, try explaining what makes you good. Writing strategies is quite a chore but it is a very rewarding experience because people will come to you asking for advise. Writers of any type of strategy are welcome. I might know a thing or two as well. =)

  • SCM/SCX Designers- We have a SCM/SCX Section here at Starcraft Millennium and I would like to enhance that. If you are talented at designing maps or are talented at running a section of this magnitude, I'd like to hear from you.

  • Community Director(s)- This is a field that I think will be one of the most fun for the player. Their job is to run any tournaments, or events that they think the community would enjoy. Also, the Community Directors would be directly involved in assisting myself with the running of "Beat the Staff." which will return to form here at Starcraft Millennium.

  • Editorialists- Perhaps, you like to criticize something? Then we can use a person like you as an editorialist. It is a job that will put you on the front lines of the community. It's one I wouldn't like to have, but someone has to do it!

  • Battle Report Writers/Replay People- Here is another field that could be a lot of fun. You go off, play games and write reports about your games or other players games. This is a common field that is neglected by some other SC sites. Ever had a desire to do it for a SC Site? Here is your chance.

    How Do I Apply?

It's pretty simple as a matter of fact. Send an email to me at spacedominator@scmillennium.com and tell me about the fields that you would like to enter.(Yes, you can do more then one) In this email is that you need to really impress me in the email by telling me anything you can to help your case. Honesty is good to see too, so if you know you are an arrogant snob, tell me. It won't hurt your chances, it'll show character and remember my first requirement for working at SC:M. Attached to your email must be an example of your work. If I recieve no attachment, I give you no consideration.

I look forward to working with all of you in this wonderful community and just remember, all the fame that you earn from working at SC:M, is yours and will never be taken away from you by anyone. It's a chance that you can't refuse, so email today and we'll have a start to a wonderful relationship.

    Recon 2000 - Agelmar @ 6:30 pm EST
Recon 2000 is one of the largest gaming events held in North America. This year it will be held from June 29 to July 2. I will be in Germany at the time, so I will unfortunately not be there (I will be at GenCon however :-). Recon 2000 goes all day and all night, so you have to have a good deal of stamina to attend. The deadline for registration is the 8th of June. Head on over to www.recon2000.com for more information.

P.S. Starcraft.org may have beat us to this post, but hey, what does it matter? They misspelled "millennium" :-)

The phoenix rises - Agelmar @ 5:33 pm EST
Well, Starcraft Millennium is once again back. My good friend SpaceDominator is going to help me get SC:M back to the wonderful, rockin' site it once was. We will finally have news, and best of all, NEW CONTENT!. We do need help however, so if you want to help out with news, or content, email SpaceDominator. I am currently devoting myself to Warcraft Millennium, which will be focusing on Warcraft 3. I will, however, also be lending a hand to SD in getting SC:M back up and running. Anyhow, we need your help, so please, if you love SC, love SC:M, love me, or love SpaceDominator, (or even if you don't), then drop him a line at spacedominator@scmillennium.com. Look for new content soon, and please, tell your friends to drop by. SC:M is coming back, and we're going to come back in style. Look for WC:M sometime around the beta of WC3. And please, drop a line to SD and help out. If we're going to make this site great again, we're going to need your help.
