Starcraft Millennium is at a critical point right now. We, the staff, are trying to decide what to do. We cannot currently afford a larger account at our current host, so we must make a decision. We are currently working on wonderful replay uploading and map uploading scripts that will allow us to rival Starcraft.org, however these things would quickly consume our free webspace. So we must decide - do we want to keep our files (scm/scx, replays etc) limited in number and thus small in size, or open the sections to public uploading and become huge in size. While the question may seem simple, there are other factors to take into consideration. If we stay small, we can keep to our current host, which means no ads (Agelmar is currently paying monthly for hosting, but can't afford the type of hosting we would need should we open the scm/scx and replays up for public uploading, like starcraft.org). If we go big and allow the public to upload their replays, maps etc, we will become much larger and have to change hosts. We have been offered affiliation and hosting by the Gamestats network (an UGO affiliate), which would mean gosu space for us, and the ability to do this. Unfortunately, it would also mean an ad on every page. Currently, we are the only major Starcraft site without ads, and I, Agelmar, rather like that. So we, the staff, and above all else I, Agelmar, must decide what we are going to do. But we would love to have some community imput, so I am changing the poll, and I would encourage all of you to vote.

Live with the banner ads dude. It does hurt if you design for them. If you can't design for them place them on the bottom. My host is a UGO affiliate, and I do not need the banner in the top portion of the site. I place it at the very bottom. If your using SSI, ASP, PHP, CGI, it is very simple to add them to the bottom....

Who looks @ the adds anyway. Yeah they take a little away from the page but really all large gaming sites hae them and people put up with them.

I'd rather see the adds.

Try to get 250 MB at www.net-games.com . Perhaps they can do it in less than a week.

Or you can make a www.planetstarcraft.com ! :-)

Or, simply join UGO, and comply with their banners policy, putting them at the bottom of every page, if the allow that.
