| Beat the Staff I: Battle Report
SpaceDominator & Squaredot vs. Ramza* & AdrenaLing*(6)Flooded Plains.scx (Gambitt Observing) * = Ramza was under a different nick, but i couldn't remember the nick at the time of writing this. I am not sure if our other opponent was InsaneLing or AdrenalLing. I appologize greatly if i offended or got anyone's name incorrect. Let me say first that Flooded Plains is a very unique map. The starting positions are kind of in a straight line on the sides of the map. Three on the left and three on the right. There are also three choke points leading into everyone's base. The map is rather big too, 256X256 I believe, perfect for big FFA games. Anyway, I got the middle of the three starting positions on the right, and my ally, SpaceDominator got the middle of the three positions on the left. Our opponents, Ramza (News man for Starshack) and InsaneLing got the top starting positions for each side. Our team was double terran, SD went Terran and I went Random. Ramza got Protoss and InsaneLing drew Zerg. The game started out rather well, bad for me though :(. Ramza and InsaneLing both scouted out our bases. I then quickly found InsaneLing's base, his drone came from the top of my base so I scouted out the top of the map directly above me. We never did find Ramza's base though. I wasn't sure what InsaneLing was going for. When I scouted his base his already had a Lair, I found out at the end of the game though :). SD went for defence, while I went for a quick tank build. When I had about 4 tanks and some marines for support, I asked SD to bring some marines for an attack run. I got to InsaneLing's base only to be meeted by lings and lurkers. SD's marines got eaten up by lurkers and mass lings after deciding how we were going to attack his base. My tanks and support marines got wasted to InsaneLing's fast teching guardians. If only I were a couple of minutes early :\. At that time, Ramza let loose his attack on SpaceDominator's base. Dark Templar and Corsair's with disruption web. He would lay down a disruption web on a bunker, then destroy it with dark templar. While this was going on, my base was getting squashed by guards. This was the second match for the 'beat the staff' competition I believe. We played a team game earlier, but spacedominator dropped and I locked up. (SD)Correction: My Mom Picked Up The Phone!
