Mental Strategy
Mental Strategy #10: Strategist's note: I am going to do this one as well as professional as I think I can. I think I need to prove something to some people. Most people don't understand that I have a writing style that I really enjoy using. I am hoping that this will prove to the SC:M staff and the Starcraft Community that truly SpaceDominator ain't a bad professional writer? Understand? No jokes this time, time for Dr. SD to come on in. Also, what do you think of the Outline as a proposal to tell you what everything means? It helps me too. This one is NOT as professional, but it gets the point across. Topics of discussion: I. Introduction II. Backstabbers: IV. Community Reaction to Backstabbers- V. Conclusion Backstabbers are defined as people who kill a
person after agreeing to friendly terms. Most people and I think that Backstabbers aren't
good things. There is some problems though, in other games almost every single person
actually is a backstabber. Just like Agelmar said "I backstabbed in Warcraft 2",
and I did it too. I really enjoyed it but that's no reason to allow others to. I did it to
a friend. Friends don't care as much as complete strangers. To continue the story,
he backstabbed me and I kicked him in the shin(so he claims). Well, I guess he deserved
it. Someone that does something bad deserves punishment. =) However there are some advantages to being a backstabber. First of all you are very used to playing FFA games and helping your partner become more successful. There is a better way then doing this. At the end game screen someone I know presses Continue Playing instead of end mission, and then continues to kill their opponent. Does that hurt the guy? Not At all. Also backstabbing I know is a ton of fun. You are making another person go insane playing a very simple game. Maybe it's not a hypothetical simple, but it is a defined scientific fact that Starcraft is a game full of plenty of diverse strategies. How would any community react to a Backstabber? Let's begin by looking at Starcraft Millenium(us). We had an interesting experience and we all discussed different things about it. That's exactly what you should do.. Though maybe not so personal, no need to humiliate a person in front of a few hundred people. The community usually reacts to things in that way(REVENGE is sweet). So was it a mistake by us? Not at all. The reason I think that is because this guy had the nerves of picking on Agelmar. A cruddy webpage? I don't think so. Maybe cruddy strategies? You'll be the judge of that. Backstabbing something we all did at a time. Now you understand why. -SpaceDominator
