Mental Strategy:
Title: Mentally Preparing for A Free For All
Free For All's. I hate them. People love them. What's new. The Free For
All is an interesting concept where it is every player for themselves vs every player for
themselves. Jesus, a ton of strategy involved in that huh? Well.. to mentally prepare for
a Free For All you need is to be as tough as the Dallas Stars were in Game #6 of the
Stanley Cup Finals(BTW, Dallas won the Stanley Cup). So, on that note let's go into some
of the mental works of a Free For All, and the preparation needed to play one with some
level of success.
A Free For All is something that people love in a strategy game for a
few reasons. First of all, the more people you have in a Free For All the more fun there
is involved. Secret Alliances could be merged, backstabbing could occur all of the things
that makes a game interesting would be included in a Free For All. However, there's also
chaos involved because you've got instead of two sets of 4 people, you have 8 people all
against each other. This is a reason I'm against the Free For All system, you will have
people who are attempting to do some things in a Free For All which will not make it fun,
or make it as entertaining to play. The concept is accurate but the execution of it is
off.(my opinion).
However, there are a large majority of people who love FFA's so i'm
going to tell you how to prepare for this. Your goal in this game is to be the last
survivor out of the bunch. There are a lot of possibilities on how to execute this and it
is all up to you on which one of these methods you would wish to include. Let me detail
these possibilities for you in the coming sentences.
- Method #1: Keeping out of Harm's Way- Heheh. I love this method, true I
hate Free For All's but I love the method! The whole purpose behind this method is to stay
very quiet and build up a large force that will allow for you to take over a few people
later on in the game. At the beginning's you remain very defensive and quiet! =) This will
cause for your opponents to wonder what your truly going to do in the game, but it's
effectiveness can be deadly and mystifying. =)
