Title: Cockyness; The Second Stupidist Thing Behind Hackers

Now hold it! I have written a strategy about bragging correct? Mental Strategy #4? Well, this is a totally different topic. Cockyness is the guarantee that your going to win a game. Well, Cockyness is officially defined as offensive assertiveness. In other words, your being agressive in talking about your confidence. Bragging is defined as   "To talk about one's self, or things pertaining to one's self, in a manner intended to excite admiration, envy, or wonder." While Cockyness is agressive speaking about your confidence. Whew! Now I can actually write something worthful. This Strategy(Strategy #93), is going to go into the thought book as why Cockyness is in my opinion The SECOND Stupidest thing behind Hackers.

Cocky players=Sitting Ducks. I don't care. When you hear a player in Battle.Net go "I'm the Best", which is clearly conveying with the definition of <COUGH> Cocky, they usually are in an anxious mood to challenge someone. Most of the time, they go out and get themselves beat by someone with equal or higher skill level then themselves. Not all players are like this however, some of them are truly as good as they make themselves sound. This is a suprising exception into the world of being cocky. Cocky players seem that every move they do is perfect and will be just enough to beat their opponent. Then after their victory, they go back into Battle.Net; rub it in and then challenge others. This is a great demonstration of competiveness which is OUTSTANDING in a game up to the standards of Starcraft. However, that doesn't mean be cocky! If you can handle it, great. Your reputation will be down the tubes, but hey you'll think confidentally of yourself!

How to handle a cocky player. Challenge them, before they beat you to the punchline. It's a simple thought. If you send a message challenging a player, they may decline because they are afraid that they could lose. Thus hurting their reputation more, and making them look like an idiot on the Internet. Heck, I look like an idiot on the Internet for writing mental strategies! Like anyone cared, huh? =) Well, let's think. Another option is to just plainly ignore them leave a channel and start your own game. You'll hopefully gather yourself up some kind people like yourself and have yourself a nice coming together playing Starcraft. It's important to have fun!

Fun and Cocky are two different ideas. Most cocky players will generally have fun speaking and poke fun at other people. This can get up to the stage of offensive, and abusive. That's when you know, it's time to shut down all conversations and sing with the Tuba players. Fun is when players in Starcraft, enjoy playing the game, using strategy and being GOOD sports. Cocky is offensive assertiveness, self explanatory.

Cocky players and Cocky people will always be in the gaming world, so this strategy hopefully gave you an introductory insight onto Cocky Players. Heck, if you see me out on the Battle.Net forums, tell me how much this strategy helped your life! I'm hoping it did.
