Campaign Strategy
Map : Original SC Campaign Terran 3 I trust you know the 3rd mission of the Terrans in the origianl Starcraft game (not including the tutorial at the very beginning). You know, if you don't plan your base defence right, it's going to be very difficult to win. You will probably end up losing basically all of your buildings and units. The first time I played it, in the end I only had my Command Center which had lifted off. But last time I played it, I used a really good strategy. The first thing I did was start building 4 Bunkers at each of the 2 entrances to where my base was. I had a bit of trouble from minor Zerg attacks, but I managed to build them all and to put Marines and Firebats in them (mostly Marines). Then I made quite a lot of Vultures and made them put loads and loads of Spider Mines in front of all the Bunkers. The Zerg didn't stand a chance!!! When the final big rush came (just before all the dropships come, where loads and loads of Zerglings and Hydralisks come swarming to the left entrance to your base) I was ready for them. The Zerg came charging forward, and a lot of them were taken by the Spider Mines. The guns from the Bunkers were firing like mad, taking wth them unit after unit of Zerg. The Zerg only managed to destroy one of the Bunkers, but the Marines inside them were all still alive at the end. I sugest this strategy to anyone having trouble with this mission. It really works!!!!! |
