Battle Report: Untitled by Skiftor

The Map was Dire Straits, one of my fav maps awhile ago until Igot devasted in a FFA, I got ambushed by bout hmm he said he had the pop. limit maxed out in mutas and drones, and soem hydras, which is a lot basically the screen was full of mutas, my 15 scouts and 10 dragoons and some photon cannons didn't hold up very long, since then I hadn't played it but I was feeling good bout it so I played it.  1 on 1 it was, I was Terran, he was Terran. I had my gameplan which was wraiths and maybe some bcs.  What was great is taht this was laggless, I don't mean a nice game this was flying so fast faster that at first it made feel uncromftable taht everything was going so fast.  So I wanted to get wraiths as soon as possible and not having to worry bout a rush I went ahead and made 10 scv's, the 9th on a supply depot and the 10th on a gas thing, once I had finsihed the depot I put him on a barracks.  Then I pumped out 3 more scv's 2 on gas and 1 on building.  I followed up with a factory and a engineering bay (I was worried bout wriaths a little so I wanted to get towers up early and it proved to help). I had tons of $$ rolling in so I figured it's time to expand, I built two command centers, and another starport, and put control towers on them and started putting up a few towers here and there.  I was in NE, so I sent my first command center to NW, and the other in the small island in between, I like to have my expansions near on one vs one so I can back them up easily.  After the landed I started scv's (during the whole time I put a depot up when I had the time). 

I soon really had the money rolling in so I put up anotehr starport and 2 armories to make my guys kick some more butt, then he sent bout 10 cloaked wraiths, my current wriaths and towers made quick work of them.  I started getting towers surronding my expansions seeing that cloakers were his game plan.  I had bout 5-8 towers surronding each expansion, by now I had at least 40 wraiths so I figured it's bout time I get on the offensive, I knew where his main base was, and that he had a expansion in SE, so I headed for the expansion, he had a good amount towers, I started on them and lost bout 10 wraiths :( [I had sent in 24 wriaths, along with 2 S. vessels]  He came in with a large amount of wraiths, all cloaked, and my S. Vessels wandered into the line of fire and I was like oh shit, so I sent my remaining wraiths to his peon line to reak some havoc, I think I got them all out and worked on a few buildings vefore they were wasted.

Well that was the first big battle we had, and I was semi satisfied that I wreaked some havoc on his expansion which turned out to be his only one at the time from a few scans.  Well I looked back at my main expansion and being worried of any ground attack put a factory and a barracks, followed by two bunkers.  I made 6 bats, and 6 marines, and sent them south cause I 
thought I saw some purple (his color) to see if he was starting anything, to my surprise he had started a little base down there, full of bout 10 marines, 5 goliaths, and 5 towers, and soon to come 4 BC's.  This would turn to be a big part of the game.  


Well I wanted to put a end to that so I made some seige tanks, 4 to be exact.  Sent them so I could see his towers and he couldn't see me and put a good amount of wraiths above them.  I seiged them, and started firing, then came puring out a ton of golaiths, 4 bc's, and a load of wriaths. This turned out to be bad.  He then sent in a force of wraiths to me expansion attemptign to get some guys and he met his demise to the towers. Then he started sending in bc's and yamoting my towers, Then I send them (wriaths) after the bc, and they get met by towers.  This went on for a long time I kept on trying different stuff, firebats, goliaths, nukes, marines, wriaths, everything I had.  Then I just gathered every wriath I had which was a lot and sent them all in, and I basically took it out, and it was no more but with a lot of costs.
 
And I was soon running low on resources and wondered why, well at my main base their weren't any and the majroity of scv's had been killed by the main attacks, and I didn't have many at my other expansion.  He continly sent stuff in different units.  I started thinking of what to do, I scanned jsut bout the whole map looking for weaknesses.  I noticed that he had a lot of the map, SE, SW and two small islands.  I noticed that SE didn't have much, only a few towers, so I loaded up 8 goliaths into dropships, and sent them to the top point.  I sent them in there and wiped it out, he had some important buildings too.  He had two science facilities, lunkily that meant once they were gone no nukes, and I think I put a dent in his $$.
 
I loaded them up again, and sent them to his main base, I did a few scans before sending them there and noticed the SE part of his base had all his important buildings and only one tower.  so I figure even if they die I can take out a good amount of his buildings, the one he needs.  So I start pounding on them and get greeted by 3 bc's, but the goliaths made quick work of them, with only one loss of mine.  I started thinking where'd all his wriaths go and I here under attack!! or what ever it says so I leave my golaiths to kill some more guys in hsi peon line.  Head up to my main base and lay waste to his wraiths, which was already happening by my immense amount of towers and wraiths.
 
I headed back down adn countinued to destroy, it was kidna fun, watching the buildings burn down, and soon his entire base was wiped out.  So I had taken out all his important buildings, and all oh his supply depots too or most of em cause after taht moment I didn't seen any units get built, just a whole lot o towers.  he had two expansions left, one heavily gaurded by towers, the other not, I couldnt' find a way in for my golaiths so I sent my wraiths to the not so towered up one.  They destoyed the expansion with ease, then the final assualt, I found a little way for my goliaths to get into his final expansion that turned out to have bout 20 towers.  I sent them on the coast on the far north, and they wiped him out, his scv's tried to fight back but didn't do a very good job on my fully upgraded goliaths.

Let this be a lesson to all of you out there.  Learn from my mistakes and his, such as him fulyl concentrating on taking out my wraiths, and not defending all of his bases properly, then his good things like the towers near one of my expansions, and what I did wrong well I tried taking it out, and always make sure to use scanners to find his weaknesses and ways to get in and out.
